Processing of personal data

Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the processing of personal data provided by candidates when participating in the competition, or otherwise acquired for this purpose by the E-CoRe consortium, is aimed at carrying out competition activities and managing the related operations and activities. The data will be processed by the persons responsible for the competition procedure, including the international examining committees, in the manner and to the extent necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes, which may also include disclosure to third parties. The legal basis for processing is found in Articles 6(1)(c) (legal obligations), 6(1)(e) (public interest), and 9(2)(g) (substantial public interest) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Providing data is essential for registration, and refusal to provide it will prevent admission to the doctoral programs.

The E-CoRe consortium will retain and use the personal data and contact information provided by students enrolled in doctoral programs, even after completion of the competitive examination procedures, for operational, administrative-accounting, and/or other purposes related to the management of institutional activities and compliance with legal obligations, as well as for dissemination of opportunities (scholarships, awards, etc.).

Candidates have the right to access their personal data, request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and object to processing by sending requests to e-core@unibo.it.

Data subjects who believe that the processing of their personal data violates Regulation (EU) 2016/679 may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority or take appropriate legal action.
